FLIP LIGHTS UPON CORVETTES?

Flip Lights on Corvettes? I hate how the Corvettes have "ferrari Lights" which are actually the same lights they use on a Viper, they just don't say it. What i want to know is, since the beginning of Corvettes they have always had Flip-Lights. Which i thought was the Corvette trademark, So why did they change the lights and make the Corvette ugly.
