IS A CORVETTE DEAD?

Is the Corvette dead? With GM now being run by the US government, I assume all of GM's brands are gone, except for Chevrolet and Cadillac. But I don't expect every Chevy and Caddy to survive, for instance, there is no profit on the Cobalt, and I expect the gov't to ax it. The corvette is different but since its not a hybrid or a huge profit center, like the Silverado, will the gov't insist it gets cut?
