WHY THEY WERE SO CHEAP! ?

Why they are so cheap! ? I found a cobalt 2007 used of Chevrolet LS with the miles 22k on top for $ 3.287 and one corolla 2005 with the miles 30k for $ 5.000. They are sold at various places. I wonder why they are so cheap? Particularly being more recent models with such a low mileage. Are bad cars? Were they in the accidents? Why is it bad to buy a car which was in a front accident?
