CHEVY MALIBU RIGHT BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING?

Chevy Malibu right brake lights not working? Water got in and shattered my old brake lights. They corroded the connection so I cleaned it and it's still not working. The turn signal and back up lights still work on the right side. Why won't my brake lights work?
